Tacita Dean’s piece on the Kodak film factory in France is up on Ubuweb. Its worth a look if you haven’t seen it, even though I think watching it on the web sort of defeats the purpose. The purpose being that its a movie shot on the same Kodak film that’s produced in the factory that it shows, a factory which is being closed. If you haven’t spend some time on Ubu its definitely worth a half day of looking around, they have everything from Baldessari singing Sol Lewitt, to Hollis Framptons Nostalgia.

The images are from a project by AVPD called doublexposure, which uses light modules to mirror/mimic the natural light coming through the windows. They have some great work on their website, I’ve included a little more about them below. via vvork

This installation by British artist Antony Gormley just closed, but it was the second time he showed it so it may pop up again. Keep an eye out for it in your city, because its amazing. Its a room full of mist which is lit from the top by bright diffuse light. This means that once you’ve stepped 2 feet into the room you no longer have any sense of orientation in space, nor can you see more than about an arms length in front of your face.
